Our seasonal summer workers typically are comprised mostly of college students who obtain J1 visa’s from their E European Countries. In the most recent years, the students are coming from countries such as Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, Latvia, etc. in no particular order. Their goal typically is to experience the adventure of travel, work and earn, and experience the different culture.
They are quite, in my opinion, hardworking, sincere, honest and motivated. Unfortunately, the housing situation to accommodate these students is fragile and quite a struggle. Available housing is very limited and expensive. Students then end up stuffing 8 students in a small apartment suited for 4 as an example. More commentary will certainly follow this thread!
