At The Beach – Ocean City Maryland

The summer of 2007 is history – and now the Fall Season At The Beach ARRIVES!- A variety of leisurely activities abound and for many, and it’s STILL time to HIT THE BEACH! Sept and October offer the best opportunities to catch a salt water specie fish from the shorelines of Ocean City MD, Assateague Island and The Delaware Seashore. Many combine the pleasures as a family event, with the kids and mom soaking up the sun and Dad soaking some bait in the salty water, hoping to catch their seafood dinner. The picture below was taken on Sept 23, 2007 at the Fenwick Island State Park, Fenwick Island DE.. The public parking lot offers daily parking for $4 through the end of Oct (free thereafter for the winter) and those with 4 wheel drive vehicles can purchase permits to drive onto the beach, (for the sole purpose of fishing) but also bring their family to enjoy the sun n surf while the fishing activity goes on.

The Surf Fishing Rods are also active at the Assateague State Park, and the Assateague National Seashore areas, especially on weekends with the fall fishing at it’s peak time, yet the air and water temperatures are summer like.
