The cab industry in Ocean City MD has grown rapidly over the past 5 years. This has certainly been a welcome alternative means of transportation, but has brought with it some elements of cause for concern. Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Town of Ocean City MD renews $50,000 print, radio and local tv contract to promote the bus transportation system in Ocean City MD. (as written in a local newspaper Feb 3, 2006). A review of the Town web site revealed that the actual minutes from [...] I’m not sure this belongs here, but in reading an article in a recent Newspaper – The Maryland Coast Dispatch, Dec 9, 2005 , it appears to me that the Ocean City MD tourism commision continues to stay in the 1980′s relative to media advertising concepts to promote the Ocean City MD vacation resort. [...] Smaller towns and cities often rely upon elected council members and Mayors who receive little if any renumeration for their time. We appreciate this, but also hope that their motivation is not self serving, but truly in the interest of the general taxpayer public. Commentary will eventually trail here as actions of note are discussed. |
